I am a doula (someone who supports women in labor) and will be getting my masters in nursing to be a midwife (someone who delivers babies) over the next couple years. I've been traveling/backpacking the US, Central, and South America since February 2016. Starting in December 2016 I'll be traveling through Central America and Mexico volunteering at women's health clinics and birth centers. Im from Oakland, California. I hella love Oakland, even though it's a little different these days. I love being active, being outside, beaches, jungles, and going on adventures. I'm enthusiastic about being happy even when things look shitty, finding creative and real ways to contribute to my communities, learning lessons and trying not to repeat mistakes.....My motto is "¿Por que no?" Sometimes it gets me in a little trouble, but mostly it gets me good stories. Nothing regettable has happened yet, I totally recommend it. ¿Por qué no?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im a traveler on a backpackers/student budget. I've been traveling for the better part of the year, and have a few more months and a few more projects to complete! I enjoy living my life creatively and often this means finding unique ways to do average things. Why stay at a hotel when you can meet people who live where you're going and stay with them?! Also, you can't beat the price.
