Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up
ABOUT ME
I love adventures, road trips, anything physical, making things, fixing things, and friends. And they are waiting on me now at the local wine bar so I have to run........
PHILOSOPHY
Be yourself, bring a smile to someone's face and lighten someone's load when you can, dream big then go out and make the dreams happen, offer respect to all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have enjoyed my surfing stay and my visits by surfers. I feel like I'm traveling even though I don't leave my home. Keep them coming! I hope to actually surf more myself. A great way to travel.
Interests
My greatest strength and greatness weakness is my inability to find anything NOT interesting. I wish that there were things that didn't interest me since that would greatly narrow things down. My current actively engaged interests reside in the following disparate list: cycling, exploring Buddhism, reading, improving my teaching skills, cooking, my beginner jazz/modern fusion dance class (love it!), music festivals, journaling my quirky daily observations, walking my dogs with my son, researching anything sustainable from environmental design to gardening to healthy living choices and finding a way to share it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am awestruck by the kindness of strangers and the fortitude of the compromised. I am awestruck by creative genius and the goosebumps I get when I see someone, often a child, stretch beyond their abilities to reach something higher. I am awestruck by the moment when I have assisted someone across the threshold of confusion to the land of understanding - engagement. I am awestruck by motion and the creativity it fosters. I am awestruck by the beauty of the lowcountry with the meandering marshes changing with the tide.
The driver in the car ahead of me that pays my toll. The man in the electric wheelchair that negotiates the narrow but heavily traveled road daily. My friend who is battling cancer with the same joie de vivre that carried her through her pre-cancer days. Wayne White in his documentary "Beauty is Embarrassing." On a dock in the marsh at Pawley's Island on the South side looking north at sunset because it looks like a southern Andrew Wyeth painting - timeless, serene, radiant.
