About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do fulfilling work, make time for great people, fill my passport with stamps.

ABOUT ME

I'm a narrative opportunist, a glutton, a flaneur, and an all-around pistol.

PHILOSOPHY

I try always to say "yes."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I the likelihood that I can host you is pretty low, but I'm hoping to have space again within the next couple weeks. I just moved back to Louisville, and for now, I'd be ecstatic to show you around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a coterie of folks at my myriad addresses in the last few years via non-CS.org methods. I've got a funny story about some gutterpunks who stole my eggs if you want to hear it, but overall, I've just been thrilled with the people it's put me in touch with, some of whom are now dear friends.

Interests

Bourbon. Vinyl. Books. Weird antique stores. Any and all dogs. Eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Faulkner, Kundera, Bulgakov, Nabokov, Garcia Marquez and Foer.
My favorite films are Y Tu Mama Tambien, Rushmore, and Chinatown.
I do a little music writing as a sideline, so my favorite artists list is pretty long, but the standouts are Leonard Cohen, Neutral Milk Hotel, Joy Division, Gram Parsons, and Dolly Parton.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From a vantage point of a cave, I watched the sun come up over the Alhambra. It's corny, but it made me totally understand how Ferdinand and Isabella thought they could take over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to know about bourbon, William Faulkner, basic hatmaking? I can probably help out.
I want to learn how to do everything-- I make it a point to teach myself a new skill every month. What can you teach me?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
