I'm Kirstine, born and raised in Denmark.
I love everything outdoors / hiking, kayaking, climbing - I'm up for anything!
Music is a big part of my life, unfortunately I don't play any instrument. I guess I was too impatient to really sit still and focus for that long!

Enjoy life - you only get it once! Don't let anything keep you from doing what you want, just go for it!

I think it is a great way to see another country and meet lovely people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have tried couch surfing in Poland, and had a wonderful experience! I have also hosted people in my small ass dorm room, which was very interesting!

Interests

I love music - not a day goes by without an intimate moment between me and my Ipod occurs. I love oldschool rock'n roll, but besides that I just enjoy almost every aspect of music!
Everything outdoors is great for me as well. Just name it, I'm in. Climbing, kayaking, hiking, even bungy jumping and sky diving, I'm game!
Food is one of my other big interests! I love to cook, but I love eating it more! I'm not the best chef, but I really want to learn. Not only in cooking but in many other aspects of life!
Besides that a good movie or book are never far away from me. Evenings in the cinema and nights in the bed with a good book works pretty well for me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once hiked from Poland to Slovakia. Over a mountain. And then when arriving in Slovakia after hiking for an entire day, I put up a tent just outside the national park. Or so I thought. Next morning I was woken up by a big ass dog in my tent and an angry park ranger in the other end of the leash screaming "passport, passport". He only spoke polish and french, I don't speak any of those, so It wasn't easy! I handed him my passport, and he didn't want to give it back to me before I paid a huge fine. I didn't have any money, so he wanted to arrest me and drive me to the police station. While driving there he calls the police, and I could hear him arguing with them. It ends up with him driving to an ATM, gives me a very handwritten fine and drives away after taking my money and giving me back my passport. So no jail time, but a very expensive ride to the nearest city!

I really want to learn about cultures that are different from mine! Traditions, food, everything. And I would love to try and be a part of the different cultures!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have loads of great "war stories" from travels all over, and I would happily trade stories over a cold beer!
