About Me

Hey,

My name is Kirsty. I live, and have done for all of my life, in a small city in Scotland. I've grown up being the youngest of five children, which was fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I'd love to travel the world, and I've been recommended this site a whole load of times. I don't have a very large income either, so any help or offers would be appreciated. When I one day own my own house, I'll be accepting guests, but until that day I'm afraid I can't.

Interests

I'm interested in blogs mainly, and in 2014 I started my own youtube channel, feel free to check it out, just search Kirsty Esdale. I also am becoming more outdoorsy, and like to go for big walks, with my family and my dog Honey.

Music, Movies, and Books

My childhood favourite band are Paramore, although I'm now more into bands like Elbow, Sigur Ros, Bombay Bicycle Club, but on top of that chart classics. Its so hard to pick a favourite movie these days, but I mainly enjoy psychological films like Shutter Island, or Inception. I also like horrors, but haven't seen any good ones lately. I don't read many books (although I want to change that). I have recently read Gone Girl, which is a good read. When I was younger I read a few of the Series Of Unfortunate Events books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In November 2014, for my birthday my mum got me a bungee jump for my 18th birthday present. That was scary, but also pretty amazing,. I'd love to try the canyon swings. (Search canyon swings on youtube if you don't know what they are).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share things about the Scottish culture and life style. I can be a bubbly, helpful, and out-going house guest. I will bring a good sense of humour and a strong conversation. I also have a pack of UNO cards, which is a tradition in my family.
