About Me

CURRENT MISSION

This year I'm going to get through Grad School, go to Cuba, and take advantage of my new home on the East Coast!

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty easy going, love the outdoors. Like to try a lot of things- climbing, snowboarding, mountaineering, biking, guitar, etc. Not great at any of them, but I love to learn. I'm clean, down to go out and dance or spend a night in just reading. Always down for an adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I worked on a recycling crew that cleaned up music festivals. In our travels across the country many wonderful and generous people opened their homes to us. Whenever given the opportunity I try to give back to that generosity. I am just getting started on an official site, but looking forward to meeting more people this way.

Interests

I love rock climbing, even though I'm scared of heights. Snowboarding, hiking, anything that involves sunshine. Working on Portuguese, perfecting my Spanish. Reading about other people's extreme adventures. I have a degree in International Affairs and would like to use it to start traveling more again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Men Who Stare At Goats is my favorite movie, if you didn't like it let's watch it again. Life of Pi, Wild, and Between a Rock and A Hard Place are pretty good books. I love Iron and Wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Such a good question...
- Bonfire during a meteor shower on the beach in Costa Rica.
- Seeing the high school students I led a leadership camp for morph dramatically in perspective and self confidence while learning to surf and rock climb.
- Seeing the progress of at-risk youth from the school I worked at in learning to snowboard.

Teach, Learn, Share

I taught Irish Step Dancing for several years during high school and college, always happy to practice Spanish with anyone. It's fun to learn a new song on the guitar...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to make dinner if you don't mind if I use the kitchen. Always willing to bring you some wine or beer, whatever your preference :)
