Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To go somewhere that's not where I am now
ABOUT ME
I'm a 29 year-old graduate of Business & Spanish, trying to experience the world and learn languages. I'm just as happy in a group of friends as I am on my own, and I especially love to travel alone. I've travelled a bit, but not nearly as much as I'd like to. Having finished my degree I did a teaching course, planning to go to South America, but somehow ended up in northern Italy, soon to be living in Sardinia. Colombia and Tokyo are the dreams for now.
PHILOSOPHY
Live for today because you never know what's coming or how you'll feel a year from now. Do what feels right and not what you feel like you're supposed to be doing.
Live with an open mind. Look for strong feelings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting when I can, surfing when I've got time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Experience so far is limited to hosting a couple of Spanish travellers on their way through Birmingham, but hoping to change that soon.
Interests
Sometimes I'm active - I play plenty of sports, mainly football and basketball - though I'm just as happy reading, listening to music, playing the guitar or watching TV. I like to write, too, although whether or not I'm any good at it is still open to discussion.
I'm also interested in beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Alhambra palace in Granada at night - the most awe-inspiring and romantic thing I've ever seen.
Watching a bird of prey fishing in Chesapeake Bay off the east coast of the US - my brother and I were in the water and watched from a hundred yards or so as it dived in and emerged with fish.
Zurich covered in snow. Possibly my favourite city I've travelled to, and under a layer of snow it had an atmosphere I've never experienced anywhere else.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an English teacher and a big fan of languages in general, so if you want English conversation practice (or even something more formal) I'd be happy to help!
