ABOUT ME

After finishing university, I couldn't bear the thought of settling down, getting a job, and all of that other stuff that you're "supposed" to do; so i packed up all my things, grabbed my bag, kissed my mum, and left with the vague promise that i'd be back one day.

I left New Zealand in June '09, and spent the next two years backpacking and working wherever I could throughout Asia & Europe. Stories of this time invariably come out after a few drinks, but a few teasers are - Washed dishes in Wolverhampton for more time than should be legal; got my jeans stolen (from around my legs) in Warsaw; spent six months working as a full time partier (and probably decreased my lifespan by 5 years); Hitchhiked across turkey in a month on less than £150; Attended an Indian wedding where I ate my body weight in curry.

Eventually, life as a broke drifter got old, and so I moved to London to get a real job. I'm currently living in a CS house in Stratford, East London, and I work in Shoreditch as an analyst for a small search marketing agency.

Hitchhiked 2500km from the south-west coast of Turkey to Georgia (the north-east)... and then back 10 days later.
