I hope for a future where we are able to compassionately talk about, feel and heal the hurt of our culture, population, and shared psyche. A hurt that I believe has been building and compounding for thousands of years. My hope does not stem from a wish for a world without conflict, anger, unhappiness, or suffering. Rather, my hope is that in the inevitable conflict, anger, unhappiness and suffering that arises (that I believe enlivens this human experience); we are able to move towards reactions and responses that embody compassion and non-violence. Compassion and Non-violence for both the self and others. And that all people equally have the access to information and an education in compassion, non-violence, and universally shared human values.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I do a lot of traveling and love to use Couch surfing as a tool to connect to people and places. It allows me to open up to my global community and find adventure everywhere. I enjoy putting myself in new and different situations, and CS is a great way to do that!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

So I am happy this question is hard to answer because I have done many things I would say are amazing to me. One of the most amazing and powerful things I have done in my life is being homeless for 6 months. Home was sharing a 1991 Honda Civic with a guy part of the time, and poached campsites for other parts. Cooking Jetboil means on sidewalks, falling asleep in decorative wagons outside restaurants, and trying to earn enough money to pay for gas to go Bouldering. Homelessness changed my life....realizing how little I need to survive, thrive, and find fulfillment, love, happiness, and PLAY.

I love learning and experiencing all that is new! I have experienced a lot, so I have so much to share. I can teach if people want to learn, and I can teach to learn. Everyday I find these 3 elements entering my life...whether my teacher is a friend, a lover, a boss, a tree, a sound...anything!
