CURRENT MISSION

Letting the soft animal of my body love what it loves. Flaring up like flame to make big shadows. Moving my love across the country to VT, where he is from and my family now resides. I grew up in the Adirondacks of NY.

ABOUT ME

I'm (clearly?) a big fan of Mary Oliver and Rainer Maria Rilke. I see beauty and possibility everywhere, especially in people. I like to try to be present. In my experience, being present is the best way to fully appreciate and enjoy life. I have never been, and expect to never be, bored. I'm a HUGE fan of Buffy. Yes, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Don't knock it 'til you've watched... all 7 seasons.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy life as much as possible! I believe the world is good and beautiful; I try to be grateful for that and contribute to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have taken in traveling folks ever since I had a place of my own, and I've certainly stayed in many places where I didn't know the people before that night. It's a great gift, to share shelter, and a great way to connect with people.

I'm trying to be kind and brave above all.

I very much like people, preferably one or two or three at a time; larger groups are not my thing. Right now I really enjoy work, family, friends, yoga, local food and the natural beauty all around me; autumn is my favorite season! I love music, singing, cooking and baking, writing, dancing, caring touch, learning, creating...

I helped an elderly woman die very peacefully and surrounded by family. That's an amazing thing to both see and do, I think.

I can teach a basic sun salutation. I can make pie with you, or impromptu soup. I love music; I grew up singing with my family and I'll sing with you, too! I love to play games, especially with letters. I also really enjoy breweries, bourbon, unique environments, great views, and many more things, and I'd be happy to share the things I enjoy with you!
