About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To tell the world why I love Turkey

ABOUT ME

Erm. I was never good at this. How do you praise yourself without feeling shameless? Haha. I guess I'm alright?

PHILOSOPHY

We always have a chance to make people's day. As far as possible, we should take these chances. That random conversation with the waiter, asking the security guard how he is doing etc. small acts but they go a long way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently on exchange in Istanbul so I thought I'd open my place to people. Haha you can find lots of better accommodation than what I have but if what you'd like is someone to bring you around, stay elsewhere and just drop me a message, If I'm free, I'd be happy to :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I just started seriously considering it. I've always loved showing people my city, wherever it may be and I've had some of the best times when friends visit and I just thought that i should open it up to anyone who trusts Me to give them an introduction to whichever city I'm in at that time (presently, that would be Istanbul)

Interests

Conversations, about anything, everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not gone on the hot air balloon tour while in Cappadocia, just because my mother called and asked me not to because she was worried.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to think " Ah couchsurfing, just a way to get free accommodation ". Then I realized that when you host someone, what you essentially do is show them a glimpse of your life and how you live. You welcome them and show them a part of the city, it's culture that you may not find in any hotel. It's more than just accommodation, it's a life experience to live like one of them.
