I'm deadset on not dying one day with a load of regrets. Maybe that's why I love to travel. I think it's mostly people that I love because they help me learn. Learning = good.
I'm pretty lost. I guess I mean I find every bit of this earth- this emerged global society- as absolutely absurd, something unrelateable. I like waking up laughing in the morning. I like long nights and tired legs. I like times when I feel full... When life's like some peripatetic walking down an ancient road from the bars, humming to himself and spilling his life all over the street. I like life when I'm not taking it seriously. I like it when it's intense.
I definitely believe in passion, honesty, and insatiable curiosity. I feel best when all I've got in my possession is a backpack and a friend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted tons, surfed (never enough), and spread word to the good. I've had some insane nights, stomach-wrenching laughs, and countless inspiring conversations.
I first heard about csing in 2007, started in 2008, and really think it is a social network I will always use.
Reading, outdoors and travel, converse and debate, good and bad beer, anarchism, pushing myself, and playing music.
Music, Movies, and Books
The two books that have changed my life the most are Suttree by Cormac McCarthy and Sophie's Choice by William Styron. Noam Chomsky, Eduardo Galeano, John Steinbeck, Robert Penn Warren, Autobiography of Malcolm X.
Townes Van Zandt, The Strokes, Justin Townes Earle, Pavement, Chopin, Hank Williams, Father John Misty, Neutral Milk Hotel. I like street music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling has taught me to say fuck it and embrace the hard times, to laugh when scared.
Teach, Learn, Share
I make music. I'll play some for you.
