About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Integrate into beautiful portland!
ABOUT ME
I just spent the summer working as a guide in Costa Rica for Rustic Pathways, a community service and adventure travel program for high school students. I have been fascinated with Latin America since I was 14, volunteering in Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and then spending 4 months working for a foundation for street kids in Ecuador. After finishing my job in August with Rustic, I embarked on a three month backpacking trek through South America with my best friend and just returned in December! I am now hoping to find a job working for a non-profit in Portland. Until then, I plan to work however I can, perhaps as a waitress and/or bartender, which I did all throughout school and always found to be a ton of fun and a great way to meet new people.
PHILOSOPHY
appreciate as much as you can-you never realize how blessed you are. who knows about what happens next, but this is the only life i know i have so why not just go for it, be and do and live the way i want to while living consciously with those around me and trying to do whatever i can to contribute to those around me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bolivia's salt flats/geysers/incredible blood red lagoons were pretty remarkable...my whole trip in South America was mind blowing-going down into working mines in Potosi, doing crazy 9 hour hikes throughout indigenous communities in Peru, getting "adopted" by an indigenous woman for the day for Day of the Dead, having monkeys sit on my head-just witnessing how other people live, talk, share traditions, etc.
