About Me
Hello there,
I am Klara, a Czech/Belgian, and together with my Colombian husband Agustín and my 4 years old son Saila we live on a coffee farm in the beautiful mountains of Colombia.
I started traveling when I was 18 years old, lived in many different places and in 2017 finally settled in Colombia. 4 years ago, Agustin and I bought a piece of land that happen to come with 8000 coffee trees and so we became coffee farmers overnight. Agustín is an archaeologist and I am a social worker, so lets say it has been quite a challenge and career switch for us. We farm 100% organic, do permaculture, natural building, ceramics, artesania, and anything that involves some kind of creativity.
Our goal at the farm is to become as much self sustainable as possible, to live in harmony with our environment and most importantly give our son the opportunity to grow up freely in nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the beginning of 2024 we made a 5 months trip to Europe. We started off with Spain ( Camino de Santiago De Compostela) then Portugal, Belgium, Czech Republic (without much planning, and see where we end up)
We love to meet same minded, interesting people to share experiences with.
We were very new to couchsurfing platform even though at our farm we receive many travelers so are definitely not new to sharing time and space with others.
In our 3 experiences with couchsurfing hosts we realized the beauty of the couchsurfing community and now would like to open our doors and give back to others.
We accept people of all colors and religion. But if you are someone who supports zionism, settler colonialism and apartheid, don't bother writing us!

we listen to a wide range of music, from classical to rock, jazz, techno, ethnic folk,..
same with books. Some of our favorite writers; Carlos Castaneda, Henry Miller, Byung, ...
We mostly like small independent movies and anything that is from Myasaki
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had many crazy experiences throughout my life, traveling freely and following my intuition, but for me the most amazing thing I ve done is to give birth to my son.
Teach, Learn, Share
Agustín and I love to exchange knowledge about:
archaeology, organic farming, permaculture, coffee, cacao, medicinal plants, ceramics, music, arts, natural building.. just to name a few.
We don´t shy away from cultural, social and political debates. Basically, we are open to share any knowledge we have and can share.
