About Me

I consider myself to be from Hamburg, even though I’ve lived in a couple of different places throughout my childhood. I lived in Leipzig for the longer period of my 20s due to my studies but just recently moved away to head out on my new adventure of my last year of medical studies: Clinical rotations for 4 months in Tokyo, Japan, 4 months in Cape Town, South Africa and then finally 4 months back to Berlin.

I'd love to meet people from all over along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to understand and learn from new cultures. Tell me about your ways, how you grew up, what you believe in, your political views - anything really, I'm curious and open to hear about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don’t believe in favorites, because this, in my opinion, always depends on the context in life situations and the associations one has to that point of time. You constantly develop as a person.

Currently reading Shigeru Mizuki's manga series "Showa 1953-1989: A History of Japan".
Some recent movies I watched and really liked as well as some director and actors I admire: The Brutalist, The Lobster, Moonlight, Ruben Östlund, Wong Kar-wai, Sandra Hüller

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, the feeling after pushing my limits to get on top of a mountain early in the morning for sunrise has just always given me such motivation throughout, but it can also just simply be laying in the grass and listening to the leaves rustle or being in my pottery tunnel - there are countless situtations I can think of!

What I Can Share with Hosts

German idioms (warning: I love mixing them/creating new ones though :D). Making a Kaiserschmarrn or Armer Ritter (it's the German version of a French Toast). Pottery skills.
