A journey into tomorrow
ABOUT ME
Hi! I joined this project because I want to see the world by eyes of as many people as possible. I have seen too little and this feels like limitation of my horizont that I want to enlarge with the help of this community. I am very curious to know how do you live and what is the identity of the place that you live at.
Short curriculum vitae: I grew up literally in the forest - a scientific city build in the forest in Siberia, next to Novosibirsk (now a part of it), called Academgorodok. After graduation from the local University I moved to Moscow to work and experience life in a big city. Now I live in Norway and absolutely love it.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to limit myself by predefining my own vision of the reality by any kind of approach or theory. But it is unavoidable anyway, so I try to minimize it to some guiding principles. One of them is "action-reaction" principle which simply means that anything one does in the world has its consequences. Take responsibility for your choices, don't blame gods or any other powers .
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met my first coachsurfing friend this summer in Palermo, Sicily and this was fantastic experience, I am encouraged to go on further!
Interests
I love science. I am a PhD in bioinformatics now and a mathematician by my basic education. I am thrilled by all enigmas and challenges in biology and amazing tools people invent to solve them.
I love contemporary dance - funky jazz, modern, ballet...I went to a Contemporary Dance School in Novosibirsk for 4 years and now I (try to) continue a little with jazz in Bergen. It always makes me happy and alive.I tried salsa, I am no good in it, but if you can lead - it is absolutely fantastic, positive collaboration :)
I love Art and Architecture, I enjoy colors and spaces, I like urban design in eco-direction: cities for people, sustainable cities and businesses.
Well. I can definitely say that I am "on the active side" - I love moving, walking, hiking, skiing and snowboarding. I run outside quite regularly and always enjoy long walks when I travel.
I found yoga fitting my lifestyle, my philosophy and my body, I practice it for many years but quite unsystematically and now would like to move to more advanced phase of development in yoga.
I have to mention that I am an absolute disaster when it comes to food :)) I have sensitive stomach and intolerant to many ingredients and foods, but mostly not very healthy ones anyways. I am a vegetarian, I do not eat bread and most of flour containing products. I am allergic to sweets. But I am interested in healthy food, I love salads, smoothies and juices, vegetables, fruits and nuts. Just let me take care of my food and I won't be pain in the ass about it! :)
