I was born to a Pomak family who settled in Turkey from Bulgaria after World War I, and a Turkish family who settled in Turkey from Greece. My wife is also a Kurdish family, but we met in a Russian language course. We are global citizens. Our complex culture taught us long ago to see people as equals.
After we got married, we decided to get lost in the streets of our country, and then the world. We've traveled many countries, amassing experiences that money can't buy. Our memories are beyond the dreams of many.
Couchsurfing is a big family. We're sure it has a soul. Good people are everywhere. Do good and be grateful.
LISTEN
Everything has changed. I've been a cancer patient since 2023. We've become old travelers these days. Nothing can stop us. My treatment continues. Some days I feel great, some days I can't even get out of bed. We never know which of the things we encounter in life are better for us. It might be too early to be sad about a bad event or happy about a good one. Let life flow; time will tell.
FEEL
If you're submitting a request, please observe hygiene guidelines. Make sure you're not sick. Avoid cigarettes and chemical odors. We welcome genuine travelers, but we're not hotel employees. We'll accommodate you as long as I'm not ill.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

As a Host:
Having stayed with hundreds of hosts (both on and off CS), I am finally in a position to give back and host couchsurfers in my flat in İzmir

I'm interested in hosting in order to meet people with whom I can connect and genuinely learn something from each other. Whilst I am very happy to be able to help by providing a bed for travelers, I also look forward to enjoying an evening showing you guests some local places or staying in and swapping stories/ideas.
