ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Georgia, but moved away after I finished my Master's degree in 2010. Now I currently live and teach in Japan.

I teach at junior high schools in the rural prefecture of Shimane. I enjoy having people over and just hanging out. I also travel around the prefecture to meet friends.

I consider eating a hobby of mine. I love to eat, but sometimes I'm a bit picky. So I enjoy being around people who like to share food. :) I once went to Taipei and all I did with my friend was eat food.

Lately I've been trying to do new things. I did my first 5km race in February of 2012. It was my first race and the first time I had snow/hail hit me as I was walking/running.

My favorite sound is the laughter of children.

Intereses

I always tell people that sleeping and eating are my interest, but I also enjoy watching movies, photography, playing with children, and random conversations.

Música, películas y libros

I listen to jpop a lot since I live in Japan. I like Johnny's idols. Arashi, Kanjani,... it gives me something to talk about with my students. :)

My favorite book is Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, although now I like I Want My Hat Back. Google these books.

As for movies, I enjoy watching them, but I don't know if I can list a favorite. I often have movie nights at my house, so please give me any suggestions!

Watching my students during sports activities or artistic events. It's amazing to see how much talent they all have.
