ABOUT ME

I'm hanging out and doing stuff in Europe until I figure out what to do "when I grow up" (so far, after a stint as an au pair, I've ruled out "professional nanny"; I'm still working on the rest of the details...farming and agriculture also not looking strong). For the moment, I have decided to go back to school to study more China stuff. This probably means I will go to China next.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm travelling right, now, so I'm loving meeting everyone in all the cities and towns that I pass through. Once I have a home again (I am currently homeless while bike touring, and living out of a tent that packs onto the back of my bicycle), I am really looking forward to being able to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm amazed every time how cool people are.

兴趣

Outdoor activities of all sorts, but especially running (and hashing!), hiking, biking, swimming, snowboarding, and rowing. Coffee, beautiful food, puddle stomping, reading, playing with animals, dancing badly and doing other ridiculous (often equally uncoordinated) things.

I don't watch a lot of movies and am embarassingly behind on pop culture. I read a ridiculous number of books, and if I'm traveling with one that I have finished, I will gladly swap it for a new one! I'm game for most all types of music; I'm even developing a new love for electronic after hanging out here in Europe.

Coastlines and mountains and cities everywhere.

Biking from Stuttgart, Germany around Switzerland, across France, and down to Valencia, Spain by myself with a tent, a sleeping bag, one change of clothes and a stict 'underwear budget'--definitely an experience I will never forget.

Playing on my snowboard in the fresh powder as its still coming down on the slopes in Switzerland. Actually pretty much everywhere in Switzerland is pretty amazing, the whole country looks like a postcard.

I tutor kids in math right now...so I'm pretty much willing to teach you anything that doesn't involve numbers or require me to bribe you with candy in order to get it done. Nah, if I know how to do it, I will teach you. If I don't, then its always fun to try and have a good laugh at the messes you can get into before you figure it out. Hm, and I've always wanted to learn to juggle.
