Overview
About Me
My name is Kobe, and I am a University of Washington Astronomy student currently studying abroad at Uppsala University in Sweden! I love music, and often volunteer to mix live shows in peoples houses. I am also the resident sound technician for Kalmar Nation, a student group at Uppsala University. I love to bake and spend my time reading in coffee shops, and I hope to be able to check out some modern art museums while I'm still on European soil.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm creating this account to try and make the most out of my time in Europe, meet new people and save a bit of money on living frees during travel.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I usually listen to Indie and Folk, but have a soft spot for Jazz Rap. Examples: Modest Mouse, Hozier, Bon Iver, King Krule, Moses Sumney, Chance the Rapper
Movies: My favorite movie is probably the Beatles Yellow Submarine, though Princess Mononoke is high on the list.
Books: I don't read as much as I'd like, but I've been enjoying the Diskworld series by Terry Pratchett. I spend a fair bit of my reading time on non-fiction as well, such as "Designing Great Beers" or "Writing Better Lyrics"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once ate 9 McDonalds size burgers in a sitting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a couple chords on guitar, or give you some insight on stargazing and how the Universe works. For instance, the reason the sky is blue is due to scattering white light!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bake for you, play you a song or make American style Pancakes after a night of drinking. I also like reading aloud, so if you want me to tell you a story I'd be more than happy!
My camera will be with me the whole time, so if you would like me to take pictures and send them to you I can accommodate.
