Hi my name is Kobi! I'm from Australia, but am currently studying the Fall semester in Boston! I am an artsy creative-type; lover of music, films, books and am involved in all sorts of quirky scenes like plus-size fashion and special effects. Yes, I sometimes get to make monsters for a living!

I study graphic and web design, and also work in the field. I'm obsessed with cats, but I really love all animals... If you have a cat I can cuddle - even better, since I am missing my chubby kitty very much!

I'm unfortunately not able to host in Boston since i'm in student accommodation, but I am looking to experience couchsurfing so I can meet locals and get insider perspectives on the areas i'm visiting.

In my time in the USA, I have driven Route 66 from LA through Vegas, and up to Chicago. I've also been to NYC a few times, as well as New Orleans (ADORE), and I will be in Ohio for Thanksgiving. In January, I will be visiting Detroit, Seattle, Portland, and finally San Francisco before I return to Australia.

I will be able to receive CSers next year in Melbourne, Australia - so keep that in mind! :)

In relation to my current adventures, I have been doing a lot of traveling with a good pal, and we enjoy exploring new areas, trying out different foods, seeing theatre and live music, striking up conversations with strangers, sightseeing, being touristy, not being touristy...

All sorts of music including jazz, blues, musical theatre, some rock and indie etc.

My favourite movie of all time is The Wizard of Oz, and I am also a huge Marilyn Monroe fan.

I love reading biographies and historical fiction. My favourite children's book is from a series called The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. I have a tattoo of Moonface on my forearm, although I think those books must be more popular in Australia and the UK because most Americans think he is Humpty Dumpty. Haha

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I feel like i'm always doing amazing things, but the first thing that popped into my mind was skydiving 14,000 feet with my 62 year old grandma on my 21st birthday. That's a very special memory, and yes I have the photos to prove it! :D
