Hello friends! I live in Denver, Colorado where I love working as an oncology nurse. During the summer I work part-time as a whitewater raft guide on Colorado beautiful and exciting rivers. I enjoy everything outside especially snowboarding, running, races, camping and hiking. At home I love cooking, reading, beer, and hanging out with my puppy Grizzly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have both hosted and couchsurfed myself and the experience is like none other. It is not about saving money but about the unique environment by sharing someone's home and the relationships you develop. You gain a perspective of a culture/area where you are traveling that you might otherwise miss.

I love non-fiction and documentaries-there are so many real stories out there that are so inspiring!

However, I am also a huge fan of select fiction like Harry Potter and Hunger Games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived one summer in Ketchikan, southeast Alaskan, working as a snorkeling guide for visiting cruise ship passengers. I lead two tours a day, teaching people how to snorkel, sharing information about various sea creatures that I retrieved from the depths by free-diving. Ketchikan is a beautiful island with rainforests and mountains. The coast was fairly warm considering and hosted a variety of marine life including blue whales, orcas, dolphins, and seals. The community was so welcoming and nice. It was one of the funnest summers of my life.

I am an excellent cook and would love to share one of my specialties with you! I am also fairly proficient in outdoor adventure and can advise on hiking, water sports, and snow sports!
