About Me

CURRENT MISSION

TO CONQUER THE WORLD! just kidding... TO BE YOUR GUEST! yes, probably.

ABOUT ME

Hey, just call me Grace.
I am currently a Speech-Language Pathologist living in New York City.

I travel to different countries and cities for varying purposes. I love meeting new people and learning about their thoughts and way of life. Some of the people I met randomly on the street or the airport have become my life-long friends. I do treasure any encounter with people because I believe that there is a reason for everything - especially when it comes to getting to know people.

PHILOSOPHY

God gave me this life.
And regardless of how tough it gets to sometimes.. life is still something worth being pondered upon.
I love Jesus and the way He showed me His love. It did change my life and principles upside-down, for sure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From the very first CS friend I met, I learned that one of the most important ideas of CS is "trust" even between strangers..
I have met both the trustable CS-ers and the rather weird ones. But overall, CS experience tells us that there can still be trust in this ever dangerous world - in that sense, I am very proud to call myself a Couch Surfer.
I tell my friends that they should all try this cultural experience instead of just mingling in hotels or hostels among the travelers :)

Interests

Languages.. absolutely! I am proud to call myself a linguist! all the languages in this world are just so amazingly beautiful! I am always seeking the opportunities to learn a few more :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Have you ever watched the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast"?
The scene where the Beast brings Belle to his library... man, what a dream!
My house is full of books everywhere and I love love reading books. However, I am a slow reader, so I don't usually get to read as much as I want.
One of my life goals is to write my own book!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

LIFE is just amazing!
The fact that I am alive today means there are reasons for my day.
Even if the day is gonna be the worst day of your life?? Oh yeah hahahah

Teach, Learn, Share

My ears are open and I am ready to be amazed.
Curiosity is part of my nature and I go ecstatic over new things and experiences! (I broke my bone once when I was young, and I was pretty excited about the surgery, cause I'd never been through surgeries until then. Hey, new experience!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Russian Federation, Singapore, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, United States
