Hello couchsurfing peeps!

I am currently living in the country side of Switzerland, about one train stop away from Payerne in Granges Mernand. (good luck at finding it! ; ) )

While my husband and I are trying to relocate to Lausanne, I thought I should make myself known to the couchsurfing world that I am need of human connection. Haha...

A little bit about myself: I am Laotian American, I grew up in Oakland California and while I was backpacking and working with an NGO in Cambodia, I met my husband. We have travelled through South East Asia, Indonesia, and India together. We had our share of beautiful adventures and road trips in the States and have lived in Cali and Hawaii together. Fast forward 7 years later, I am in Switzerland where my husband is originally from.

Things I enjoy: I love nature and the outdoors, especially hiking in the forest and mountains. I enjoy learning and sharing about different cultures. Lastly, I love to dance: West African, latin, hip hop, swing, estactic, etc. Basically anything with percussion will involuntarily move my body. LOL...

I am also trying my very best to learn French and learning how to play a guitar at the same time.

Music: I have an eclectic taste in music. I could listen to Bob Dylan to Mainstream pop music. However, I have been blessed with a husband who listens to Metal and I have to surrender because my ears are not made for such intense frequency, but we can still be friends. ; )

Movies: Action movies, Drama, Comedy, Documentaries, Foreign. Etc.

Books: hmm... we'll talk about it in person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Java Indonesia, I did a midnight hike to Mt. Ijen. Then climbed down the crater to see the "blue fire". It was a beautiful hike to see such phenomena, but I almost died climbing back up from the sulfur intoxication. It was truly an amazing experience, but one that was also very frightening for me.
