On 31-Dec-2018, I was on the road from Vilnius, Lithuania to Riga, Latvia to celebrate the new year eve there .. hitting the road, we were searching where and how we would celebrate and then i found a gathering of a couch-surfing group by chance on google and it was the first time for me to hear about couch-surfing even tho I've been traveling for some long good time before then .. So, I've created my account instantaneously at that night and at that bus while on the road.. When arrived, joined the group, we spent the new year eve till dawn or maybe even after with some good fellows dancing and all .. oh sadly, I've lost my first ever reference and it has a big spot in my heart as it was the first and very sweet, i don't know why she deleted her account many months after but really hope she is OK and all the people i met at that night .. but i guess that's part of the experience .. travel makes you gain but before that, it make you learn how to lose .. you leave part of yourself behind with all the places and people you have met along the journey and then hit the road again ..
