ABOUT ME

I grew up in Pennsylvania and have been studying German for about nine years. I'm pretty good at it. I just finished a year abroad in Bremen, Germany, and since spending a couple days couchsurfing in Ireland, I've been interested in the program.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm kind of aimlessly drifting from fun things to other fun things, generally avoiding any real responsibility, and drinking beer. I have an odd sense of humour. I never understood people who took life too seriously. I would copy information from my facebook profile to fill this out, but my profile on facebook is a cheesecake recipe.

My political beliefs are generally built around the idea of "leave other people the hell alone and let them solve their own problems how they want to" and it works well enough. It's mostly because I'm too lazy to solve other people's problems.

I have surfed before and met other surfers; one of my friends hosts people, and turned me on to the site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Ireland and surfed in Cork and had a blast.

I like German, meeting new people, traveling around, seeing new things and having myself photographed in front of said things, the Internet, humour, inconsistent utilization of British and American English spelling, and cheesecake.

I like tastefully-done comedies, movies with carefully-constructed and compelling narratives, art films, German cinema, and things with explosions.

I also listen to a lot of Frank Zappa and German music that you're probably not interested in.

I like cheesecake a lot.
