Hey! Thanks for reading my profile! I've been on Couchsurfing since May 2017. I really enjoy it! I am Koray, I am 27. Born and raised in Izmir, Turkey, I now live in Montréal, QC. I love it here! I know Montréal fairly well. If you are in Montréal and want to hang out with a cool new friend, hit me up! I am always up for meeting interesting people, and going on adventures in the city or outside Montréal! I quite enjoy showing people around the city, going coffee shop hopping, eating out, and live music.

More about me: I'm an open-minded, nature-loving, and fun-loving person. I am an introvert and a slow thinker. I love finding a different point of view. My friends describe me as intellectual and chill. I love photography, biking, hiking, wandering in nature, trying authentic food, solo traveling, and adventures.

I am in constant flux, ever-changing flow. I like taking risks and making spontaneous trips at the last minute. I love writing, learning, improving, and creating.

In the past, I lived in Houston as an Exchange student in 2017. I spent six months in Lisbon, Portugal as an Erasmus student. I have been to Western Europe on Interrail trips. Now, I am settled in Montréal, Canada, taking things more slowly. I have also been to Burning Man a few times.

In the near future, I would love to do wakeboarding, rollerblading, skateboarding, go camping more, jump off a waterfall...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to meet, travel with, and hang out with new people, who are passing through Montréal. I also enjoy trying new experiences, hearing crazy stories, learning about different cultures, and trying authentic food.

I believe sharing is what makes us alive. I'm here to share my understanding of life in the form of friendship, tolerance, and empathy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Traveling from Norway to Portugal by train in 35 days. One of the most eye-opening experiences of mine!
- Sunrise trekking to Mount Batur in Bali, Indonesia! Saw an amazing sunrise at the top. It was one of the most spiritual experiences!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am into learning languages. currently learning French!

I can teach people:
- Turkish,
- how to take artsy pictures,
- how to code in Python,
- how to make good Turkish meals, such as 'mercimek',
- how to make traditional Turkish drink, 'ayran'!

We can improvise Ukulele, I am just a beginner :)
