Hi, I'm Pedro!

I'm a very curious and honest guy. I studied psychology for six years and taught in my local university for a few but one day I decided to leave that path behind in order to persue my true passion: music. Nowadays I am happily performing live as ARZA, playing flamenca from Buenos Aires: https://www.instagram.com/arza.oficial/

But I am not traveling alone; my súper talented girlfriend Noelia is in this journey with me and we are doing shows in Barcelona and Costa Brava nearly every weekend.

I'm very keen on conversations and trying new things. Despite I don't tend to stick to very strict journey schedules, I am a very organised person and I try to be as polite as I can.

WHY I'M ON COUCHSURFING

I surfed a couple of years ago in Spain and I can now say that it was the best thing I did in my trip. I love getting in touch and knowing local people wherever I go. Sometimes I feel that if I go as a tourist I only get to know the differences in each culture and I think maybe I'm more interested in what people around the world have in common.

WHAT DO I EXPECT?

I expect to meet interesting people who enjoy the arts and culture and can teach me about the customs of the place I'm visiting

Intereses

When I was 9 years old I started playing the piano and since then music has turned into an important, if not the most important part of my life. I'm speccialy interested in composition as well as studying spanish flamenco guitar.

In 2014 i've discovered another passion in my life which is cultural management. I opened with four friends the Centro Cultural La Comarca (https://www.facebook.com/cclacomarca) which was located in the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires Caital City. I got so into it that I ended up enroling in a postgraduate study in cultural management.

Of course, studying psychology completely changed my paradigms and the way I now see the world. I'm specially interested in social psychology as well as the psychoanalytic theory of Freud and Lacan (not very much with its practice)

Algo increíble que he hecho

On 2011 I went on my third journey to visit latin america. I started with a couple of friends but in the end we were only two (Dami and I). We got to an oasis in Perú called Huacachina, and we didn't have much money so we started playing popular argentinian songs in bars to get some. We were doing quite well till one day a man comes to us and says "I love what you are doing, come see me tomorrow morning, I'll invite you for a breakfast and we'll talk business".

With about a quarter of minute of giving it a thought, we went the next day to see this man. He told us that he was willing to pay us if we recorded a couple of jingles for him. By the afternoon, we finished writing them; the next day we were on the local radio; the following day we were on the local TV. By the end of the trip we were felt like rock stars in this small city in Perú and ended up recording this bizare videoclip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=351sGPBymkw
