ABOUT ME

I am passionate about stories. I have an insatiable drive to ferret out the stories of people and places.

To slake this thirst, I'm in the historical society in my small town. It's helping me learn the story of where I live. I spend a lot of my spare time working on program development to get the community involved and on our collections, to make sure that our local artifacts are preserved for the future.

I'm on this and several other social-networking-for-strangers type sites, because I love people--meeting them and, of course, hearing their stories :)

I don't know how to define it in one single word, but I am really passionate about connecting people. I love meeting people and hearing their stories. I love to know a person with a need, skill set, or passion, and then meet someone with the counter- need, skill, or passion, and can then connect the two to each other.

I have been inactive since I joined in 2008. A friend from Norway told me about CS, and I joined but was too nervous to participate. Now...I'm interested in meeting people in the area, hosting, and seeing what people are talking about in the forums.

People with passion. I had a fascinating conversation in a bar with a man getting his PhD in an esoteric branch of math. I -hate- math, but the conversation was so interesting. Anyone with a passion is cool in my book :)
