ABOUT ME

We set a goal to live in a foreign country for a year, and use that as a home base to travel... so here we are!

This year is about experiencing life. New culture, new language, new places, new people... I fully intend to soak up each experience and go home a better person than when I came.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would love to do a bit more surfing, and open up our own couch as soon as we have one that's long enough to sleep on.

In the meantime, we're always willing to meet up for a drink if you're ever in Barcelona and just want to hang out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just couch surfed for the first time in March, and it was a great experience!

Also, when I was a teenager I traveled with a singing group and we often stayed in peoples homes throughout the U.S., so I guess you could say I did a bit of couch surfing long before I knew what couch surfing was.

I've always found it fascinating that so many people are willing to open up a bit of their lives (and their couches) to others. I love that.

Music, Movies, and Books

For books & movies... I like to learn and I like to laugh. Not much for suspense or violence.
For music, I'm pretty open-minded as long as it's not too hard core.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been blessed to have so many amazing experiences, but here are a couple that first come to mind:
-Skydiving in Monterey, CA, with the ocean on one side & the mountains on the other.
-Climbing amongst the caves & fairy chimneys in Cappadocia felt like being in a movie.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like sharing our experiences with people - not that our story is anything special in and of itself - but just that it might make someone think more about their own dreams, and give them the confidence that they can pursue them. It doesn't happen by luck.
