About Me
Hi, we’re Kristina, Vlada, and Oscar.
We’re a small family from Russia, but now our life is in Mendoza.
We used to travel a lot, and now we’re learning to live in one place. We’re discovering Argentina not as tourists, but from the inside — through people, language, daily habits, and small everyday moments. And little by little, we’re growing into this life. It’s a country that’s very easy to fall in love with. Mendoza — with its mountains, vineyards, and its unique blend of local traditions and gaucho heritage — especially.
I create AI videos and write a middle-grade novel. Vlada works as a pastry chef in a restaurant, and what she makes often feels more like art than desserts. Oscar goes to school, loves to talk and play, laughs a lot, and easily connects with people.
Right now, we’re building our home and want it to be a place that feels good to come back to — for us and for those who stay with us. We care about a sense of warmth, a lived-in space where you can just be.
We miss our friends and family — they’re far away, across the ocean. But thanks to the Couchsurfing community, we feel less alone.
For us, it’s about meeting people you can talk to, laugh with, share an evening, or even a few days that become a small shared story.
We remember everyone who has stayed with us with warmth and gratitude. Each person is connected to a certain time and feeling in our lives.
If you’d like to stay with us, please tell us a bit about yourself — what Couchsurfing means to you and why you choose this way of traveling.
Hope to meet you, and safe travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, traveling and discovering the world always happens through people. Places matter, but it’s the people who make them feel real.
I’m not a big fan of most hotels — they often feel a bit soulless. Of course, there are exceptions, but usually something is missing.
Couchsurfing is different. I truly love it. For me and my family, it has become a part of our life — a way to meet, to share, to connect, and to experience places in a more human way.
Interests
We really love cinema, walks, and traveling — from big trips to small hikes and little escapes into nature. We enjoy discovering new places and simply observing life around us.
We also love tango, making things with our hands, drawing, shaping our space, and creating a cozy atmosphere.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to movies, we’re drawn to warm, life-affirming stories — films like Under the Tuscan Sun, A Good Year, and The Holiday. We love cinema that feels alive and human, where atmosphere and emotion matter. At the same time, we sometimes enjoy thrillers — especially films by Christopher Nolan. We also love classics, the worlds of Tim Burton, and the Harry Potter films.
In books, I love Jack London, Diana Wynne Jones, Fannie Flagg, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Tove Jansson.
As for music, we’re true music lovers — we listen to very different things depending on the mood and always enjoy discovering something new.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One surprising thing I’ve done is building a completely new life in another part of the world. Moving from Russia to Argentina, starting over with my family, learning a new culture, a new language, and slowly making this place feel like home.
It’s not always easy, but it’s real — and it changed me a lot.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can teach the basics of tango and share some Russian if someone is curious. Vlada can share her recipes and a bit of her approach to cooking and desserts.
Learn:
We’d love to learn from our guests — their languages, traditions, and ways of life. It would be especially nice if you could speak your native language with Oscar. We’re also always happy to learn new dishes and hear about your hobbies and culture.
Share:
We share our home, our time, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We like simple, real moments — conversations, meals, or just being together in a relaxed way. And sometimes — something sweet appears too, thanks to Vlada :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share a warm, easy atmosphere and real human connection. We enjoy simple things — conversations, meals, walks, or just spending time together without pressure.
With us, it’s usually about a sense of home, even for a short while. And sometimes — something sweet too, thanks to Vlada :)
