I am a Sound engineer from Riga, Latvia, living in Banff for this summer.
I am easy-going, responsible, kind, fun, can be serious and like to discuss many topics. Get along well with most people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It isn't too big - met 3 people trough couchsurfing, but it always was a great experience. In Bremen I was hosted by Darko and Samar, that was my first experience and a very special evening. In February 2014 I and my girlfriend Vicky were hosted by a sweet host Laurent in Paris for 2 nights. Overwhelming experience till now. There are lots of nice people active from all around the world on this site, I think that is amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I live with and within music most of the time as I wrote it already before. I have grown up in a musicans family and I am musician myself. I love many kinds of music, but mostly jazz(old and new), classical (my favorite composers are Stravinsky, Bach, Szymanowski, Prokofiev and few others), rock (from 60ies till nowadays), good pop music (like Erykah Badu, Jamiraquai etc.).

I have not read many books in my life, because I was always more into encyclopedia's, sports and music, but there were few books which I liked, but most of them are in Latvian...

La Antena, The Wall, Clockwork Orange, The Matrix (1st part) and many others, there are a lot of good movies I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing 2.8km mountain in snowy conditions - 10h hard core roundtrip.
