I'm an English Teacher working in Manaus. I'm actually from Guyana! I'd say my Portuguese is not too shabby.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Growing up in Guyana we've always had backpackers passing through from so many different countries. It was always so interesting to listen to their adventures! Couchsurfing has a way of connecting people like this.

Interests

I love my job which is teaching English to Brazilians.
Apart from that I love travelling, I practice boxing (float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!) and I'm learning to play the guitar. I enjoy outdoorsy activities too and at the weekends it's great to relax with a good book or a few beers paired with good company. Living in Brazil has made me quite fond of the local beverage called caipirinha and of course I love dancing Samba!
