My name is Kristen and I am from Omaha, Nebraska. I am 24 years old. Currently I work in a flower shop and as a receptionist at a hair salon. I also nanny 3 boys who I adore but they are a handful! have two cats Bob and Charlie and a dog named Roxy (they will NOT be coming with me on my trip!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I want to be more then a tourist. I love meeting people and am eager to learn new ways of life. I could make friends with anyone and listen to their stories for hours. Couch surfing will enable me to make friends in all parts of the world and appreciate the most important part of a place- the people!

Interests

I enjoy being outdoors and love meeting new people. I like reading and going to concerts! Animals have a special place in my heart and I love being around them! One day I would like to volunteer in an animal sanctuary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked up a mountain to find a hidden lake in Glacier National Park. The hike up the mountain followed a stream with aqua blue water and when we reached the lake, the water was crystal clear. It was stunning!

Teach, Learn, Share

For being 24, I have been through a lot in my lifetime. I have suffered loss and spiraled down to a terrible depressive state. But in light of that, I have found myself in all the sadness and have let myself grow and become free from what I let keep me down for so long. At this point in my life I finally feel that I am no longer stopping myself from living the life I have always imagined, and that is why I am taking this trip! To literally set myself free and to start my new adventure!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will bring you treats from my country if you'd like! I will help out in any way I can while I stay with you and keep my things tidy. I will try to be the least bit of a burden while you share your home with me.
