Hello! My name is Kristen. I am a fan of brevity, so I apologize if my sentences are terse. I grew up in the Seattle area and attended college in California. After college, I moved back home to be with my family and pursue my vocational goals. I currently work as an ecologist at an environmental consulting firm, and I love that I am paid to go outside.

I have been cultivating a playlist for my friends called the Grumpy Cat Playlist, and it contains everything from Tame Impala, to Marvin Gaye, to ZHU, to HAIM, to Paramore. I have no sense of where my playlist is going.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My senior year of college I circumnavigated a series of islands in Baja, Mexico via kayak and swam with sea lions. I never had the chance to go abroad, and that trip felt like the immersive experience I had always wanted.
