CURRENT MISSION

To make my way through Europe one month and one country at a time, working, learning, and making friends along the way. I don't want to be a tourist. I want to be a temporary resident.

ABOUT ME

Wow. All about me. I hope that this is a constantly evolving description as I grow and learn and experience. At my core though I'd say I'm a deeply feeling, morally conscientious, idealistic people person. I am quick to trust, quick to become friends with, quick to feel disappointed ,quick to feel hurt, and quick to forgive. I am open and honest and give of myself freely. Conversations with me are lengthy and deep and you will find that I listen with genuine interest. Watch out cuz you might find yourself divulging your life story. I think like a socialist and call myself a liberal, though that might mean something quite different outside the U.S. I did not vote for George W. Bush. I am an animal and nature lover. I'd be just as happy cuddling up to a cow as I would a dog. I'm a vegetarian because I can't love animals and then turn around and eat them. I'm an artist. I love performing and creating. I like getting my hands dirty whether with glue, paint, dirt, animal slobber, etc. I'm a lifelong lover of learning. When I was in school I couldn't wait to graduate. But I found out that I actually like school. There are so many things I want to know and experience . . . thus one of the reasons for world travel!

PHILOSOPHY

The more I understand about myself and love myself, the better person I become. And the better I become, the more I can be and do for everybody else. Actually that sounds like a load of crap. But I do really believe it. Sometimes we have to be "selfish". We only have this one life and we owe it to ourselves to make it a good one. This is starting to sound like a book of quotes. I feel preachy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Never done this before and can only be involved as a surfer for the moment. I live with my family in San Jose and can't offer an actual place to stay but I can offer company, suggestions, and helpful information for the area. I am a wonderful guest to host. I'm respectful, helpful, and kind. Down to earth and not needy. Most importantly you will make a new friend.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Right after graduating from college I went on a whale watching adventure with my family in the Monterey Bay, California. We were up close and personal with humpback whales. It was like being with dinosaurs. I couldn't believe that such a huge, magnificent creature actually existed in the same waters where I swam. I felt small, but in a good way. I'm just one of millions of creatures that all live in the same world. And my problems suddenly don't seem so big in the grand scheme of things.

What can I teach? Well I could give acting lessons, or guidance on appearing before a large crowd. And I know some fun stage combat moves. I can help you analyze a play. I know a little bit about Organic Gardening but it might all be specific to California. I do know quite a bit about making jewelry and even how to make beads from polymer clay. I'm pretty artistic and know a lot about all sorts of arts and crafts. I know the English Language like the back of my hand. I'm not exactly sure what else I could teach. Ask and I shall answer.

What I want to learn? Pretty much everything. I would be open to learning more art forms, and much more about animal husbandry. I'd like to learn how people get all their languages right. I can't even figure out two. I want to learn about the culture and history of the places I'm staying and what it is like to live there.
