Hello,

My name is Kristiana. Currently I'm doing my bachelors degree in Marketing,PR & Advertising in Birmingham, UK. As it is a sandwich course, I have an opportunity to work and live in Brussels for a year therefore here I am - hoping to find some contacts and advice that possibly could ease my moving overseas. I have heard many good reviews from my friends about this site and people you can find here, and because I'm moving to Brussels by 3rd June '13 for 12 month period and have no clue what I have signed up for, I would like to use this opportunity to network and find out what Brussels is like.

Interests

I'm interested in marketing and things around/within marketing e.g sales, advertising, customer behaviour, human resource management and business in general.

Apart from these academic interests I love reading, doing sports (particularly volleyball and table tennis), meeting new people, hanging out with friends, learning new skills. I do fine art, graphic design, play piano. I'm always up for a new thing to try.

Outside my job at marketing agency I'm a freelance designer and .. vegetarian. I love cooking, although I wish I had more time to experiment with foods.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a geek when it comes to books/movies. I absolutely love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, movies based on DC and Marvel comics even though my favourite filmmaker is Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. My favourite authors are the classic russian and french writers, though lately I've been reading only Industry related books/blogs/articles.

I like classical music (especially symphony orchestra) and surprise surprise I like new school hip-hop. Odd Future is current favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my life is pretty amazing in general, so I don't think I could pick only one thing.. That's a looooong story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach someone confidence and sales skills, inspire and motivate as well as maybe ballroom dancing, table tennis, volleyball if there is a need.
