ABOUT ME

I love to travel and am always looking for an adventure! I'm from Washington state, but am living in Asuncion working as a teacher.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm interested in making a positive impact on the world, wherever I am. I'm also interested in experiencing as much of the world in my lifetime as possible. We enjoy giving back to the communities we travel to and would enjoy meeting people who do the same.

I've read about a million books in my life. Okay, maybe not that many. But a lot. I love to read and will read just about anything but my favorites are historical fiction and sci-fi/fantasy. I also read a lot of young adult fiction because I'm a middle school teacher.

My husband and I love to watch movies and are watching a lot in Spanish right now to try to learn the language! We have a few favorites that include: The Big Lebowski, anything by the Cohen brothers or Wes Anderson, The Usual Suspects, Almost Famous, Zoolander

We are from the Pacific Northwest and many of our favorite bands are too: Pearl Jam, Fleet Foxes, Decemberists. In general, we both like folksy singer songwriter stuff.

One of the coolest travel experiences I have had was seeing real lava up close in Guatemala.
