About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To bring some yum into the yuk.

ABOUT ME

I am an artist and space creator drawn to the unique and funky side of things. I am a dancer, yogini, body worker, teacher and truth seeker who strives to see the divine in all things...a mystic perhaps. I am Italian, Lakota Indian, Finnish, English, Scottish, Welsch and more. I am sassy and quiet. Direct, honest and loving. I value community, love animals and can tell some damn good dirty jokes. I am on the side of connection, being present and seen. I am on a path of growth and my guru is respect.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie! Looking forward to my first CS experience.

Interests

I'm interested in how we can evolve and create health for ourselves and our planet. I love sustainable architecture and tiny homes which have an equally small footprint. I've designed my dream house which is less than 500 sq. ft! I love power tools and building things. My boyfriend and I recently built a chicken coop for our 12 hens. We have a mini urban farm out here in Austin which includes a small garden, a bee hive, and geodesic dome. I spend my time mostly cooking and taking care of my health which is really good now. I'm on the GAPS diet which is focused on creating a healthy gut environment. I was dealing with some serious digestive problems. We cook every meal and don't eat any grains, lactose, sugar or gluten and I don't drink anymore(no issue with others drinking, just not interested in people over drinking). A lot of work and it has been challenging but now I would never go back to my old diet(which I thought was healthy). I am a massage therapist, kundalini yoga teacher, ESL teacher and am learning how to do Muscle Response Testing:) I'm really excited about that because it's really helped me get to the root cause of my health issues whereas doctors had no clue! I also love dancing, hanging out with friends, playing games, seeing live music, going to art museums, soaking in a spring, and watching videos by Nassim Haramein....he's like the Einstein of our times. Never thought I'd be so interested in Physics but he makes it interesting and accessable. Other likes are Buckminister Fuller, Weston Price, Thrive, The Resonance Project, Picasso, Guadi, Tiny Texas Houses, Ancient Mysteries etc. And I LOVe me some Bill Hicks!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking through Peru was one of the highlights so far in my life. There is so much magic in the air out there, spirit in the stones and I felt truely radiant. I went by myself on a hiking tour. I was the only American and our group of about 12 people got along famously. I was laughing right from the get go and it just got better.
I also lived in Florence, Italy for a month studying art. I took a studio painting class and an art history class. What an amazing way to learn art history! You are infront of so many famous frescos, paintings, buildings, and sculptures. So rich! And the food, OMG so friggin' delicious!!! Glad I got that in before I became gluten free:)
And about 7 years ago I had the fortunate opportunity to sing on stage with Krishna Das, one of my favorite kirtan singers. He actually filmed the event and made a CD out of it. I had been to many of his concerts before but to be on stage and witness his music bring people out of their seats in ecstastic waves was so inspiring. What an honor that was!
