ABOUT ME

I am currently pursuing my dream of being a full time artist! The past 10 years have been spent in Victoria, BC, Canada, connecting with an amazing community, living near the ocean and beautiful forests, and developing my artistic skills. I am a professional airbrush artist, focusing mainly on bodypaint and canvas painting, but I also dabble in murals and painting on vehicles. I make it a mission to share my art, with the intention of inspiring other people to create their own. I love finding opportunities to paint on canvasses during live music events-- it's an awesome way to meet people and have fun creating art!

The next chapter of my life includes traveling-- first in Europe and Asia! I want to expand my global community, look for art opportunities, and see so many amazing things in the world.

Ideally, I would love to set up a "home base" in each city I visit. A nice spot to make a temporary home. I travel with a big backpack and my art supplies, so it is not always easy to take that all on the road. My art can be done outdoors or in public spaces, but if my accommodation is bright and airy, I would also love to use the space as a studio. Because I am used to painting in other people's spaces, I am very considerate of keeping all areas clean, and travel with drop sheets and appropriate cleaning supplies. Often I visit photographers' studios and create my art there, and I have many references about my cleanliness and respectfulness of the space. I understand that not all spaces are setup for this type of use, so I am happy to discuss what's appropriate for your space. Perhaps it is just a quiet place to come home to, perfect for editing photos on my laptop.

A bit about me: I am 33 years old and have been living on my own for the past 15 years. Recently I was employed at the Times Colonist Newspaper in Victoria, BC (for the last 6 years), and before that I was restaurant server.
I have been airbrushing for the last 7 years, and my business has been very successful in my hometown and abroad.

I have lots of experience with sharing accommodations with others, as well as house sitting and pet sitting. I know that communication and respect is essential in a successful relationship... and I also love to share laughs and stories. :)

I have now been to Scotland, Austria, Netherlands, Morocco, Spain, France, Myanmar and Thailand.

Currently I am living in Yangon, Myanmar and painting all over Asia.

PHILOSOPHY

My main mission in life is to inspire others! I love sharing my art-- in person, as well as by posting photos. I love collaborating with others. I am so lucky to be in the business of bodypainting-- I get to transform people into magical creatures, and then watch how they BECOME their new characters through acting, dance or modeling. And I absolutely love dancing to electronic music, it opens my heart and connects me to the Universe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We could collaborate on a photoshoot! If you are a photographer, I can do some bodypainting for you. Or if you are a model or someone who would like their face painted, I could paint you up and take your picture! :) I am also happy visiting over food and drinks. We could see the city, go to art galleries, enjoy nature. Or I am happy to entertain myself if you are busy doing your own thing during my stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with hosts in Edinburgh, Vienna, Amsterdam and Spain. I have done some house and pet sitting while friends are out of town. One time I stayed in a cob house at an ecovillage, that was incredibly beautiful and inspiring!

And I love PEOPLE!- meeting new friends, sharing stories, working together....always looking for new ways that we can be creative together :)

I love electronic music the most, but have been known to rock out to all types of music. I just really love to dance! :)

Being a participant in Tough Mudder, an extreme marathon/obstacle course, was a personal goal that I accomplished this summer. It was amazing to run 20K, do insane obstacles, and sharing the course with thousands of teammates :)

I love collaborating with photographers, film makers, dancers, performers, and anyone with a creative vision. I love learning about others' artistic practices too, but I am also happy to chat about life. I am an excellent listener and love to share experiences and stories.
