Ciao! Sono Kristina e sto viaggando per Italia per imparare il italiano e conoscere un paese che ho sempre voluto conoscere, sto utilisando wwoof e couchsurfing.

A bit about me, I studied music and love music of all kinds, I play guitar and bass and very basic pandeiro and cavaquinho! After I finished uni I've lived in Spain and France, learning languages, working as an english teacher and receptionist in hostels/hotels and getting to know countries. I try to travel slow, staying a couple weeks in each place, I used to travel a lot by bike which was great! I've just finished working the summer in Marseille and I want to go to Italy to do some wwoofing and imparare il italiano che e una lingua bellisima che amo!

Outside of travel I really like spending time outdoors, hiking, running, cycling swimming. I love the beach and swimming in the sea. I love cooking too, especially vegetarian/vegan food. I try to be vegan but pizza is my weakness and my city has a lot of pizza trucks.

Plans/dreams for the future include learning to surf! and ride a motorcycle, learn how to cook fresh pasta, live by the ocean, live someplace, someday, where I eat what I grow in my garden and have a bunch of animals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of solidarity, helping make travel as accessable as possible! For the last three years I haven't really had a house so I haven't been able to host on couchsurfing, just friends and friends of friends. Some day when I'm more set up I'll look forward to hosting people!

As a traveller/guest it's the best, get local insights, make new friends.

Mostly I think it's a beautiful idea, trusting and welcoming complete strangers.

music I have a very all over the place taste. Lately I'm obsessed with Brazilian music, MPB especially Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Os Novos Baianos, Samba. Growing up I was more into Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the faces, The Cat Empire! But really everything and anything. Films I like Scorsese!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel from Budapest to Split on a bike with a friend for a month, stopping of at Guca festival in the middle. Some of the best memories travelling for sure.
