Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe in the reciprocity that community can provide. Our world has become more and more impersonal and couchsurfing offers something truly unique; When we open our homes, and if we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be welcomed into other peoples' homes, we can connect on a more personal level with people. some couchsurfers that have stayed with us have become long-term friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kristina : There are so many! Ok, since I can't pick one, here are some pretty unique highlights that have made me who I am..... I worked with children in a slum in Nairobi, I played lacrosse in Denmark, I played hockey on the only ice rink in East Africa while I was in Kenya, and I brought a group of my students to India.

Michael: Soooooo many! I lived in Australia for 3 years studying Physical Therapy. I've completed a 5 day hike in the Andes Mountains... visited Machuu Pichu.... the Maya Ruins in Guatemala... Ancient Combodian temples... Thai temples... Indonesian... the list goes on... but most importantly... I've met and made friends all over the world... and want to meet more!

We have lived a life full of experiences and look forward to sharing them with our guests or hosts. We have heaps of travel stories and especially love sharing our journey of selling all our stuff to travel the world.

We love to share in conversation and exchange life experiences. We are extremely flexible and also love to give back to our host in any way possible (dishes, cooking, helping around the house, etc.). We are open to anything!
