ABOUT ME

My name is Kristina Lee Verhagen. I’m 22 and have just finished a Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Arts. I majored in Contemporary Dance, and Visual Arts painting and drawing. Still with a Master of Teaching to complete, after three years of full time study I am taking a year’s break to travel and experience the world! My adventure plans entail as well as plenty of fun, volunteering with children and communities in South America, and Nanning in the UK for 4 months.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to always enjoy everyday. However Shit always happens. Genrally though I cant complain and am living the dream!

Music, Movies, and Books

All music is fabulous! Books well..not the biggest fan on the old read. However ive managed to enjoy it more since ive been in South America. This purely because I crave any english conversation because my Spanish is pretty limited!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two years ago I travelled to Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. I visited two orphanages in Cambodia, and had the oppertunity to stay in the homes of local families. They cooked me traditional food and including me in all their daily routines. The experience was unforgettable! This inspired me to do the same in South America. I am currently living with a Bolivian family in Lapaz, doing volunteer work by day teaching dance, and enjoying the cities crazy pary life by night!

Recenly the crazest thing i have attempted and personally think everyone needs to have a go at was the sand surfing in Ika and Bike riding Death Road in Corroico. Ive never laughed and cried so much in my life. The best fun!!
