Overview
About Me
I am a 19 year old girl from northern Germany, currently living the backpacker life in New Zealand.
I finished my 13 years of school in 2015, worked with disabled children for a few months and in January 2016 I went to New Zealand. So that's where I am living right now, sometimes working, sometimes traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and getting to know other countries, cultures and people.
When I was 12 I lived with a Swedish host family for the first time and when I was 16, I spent 2 weeks with Polish students (I didn't live with them but they showed me around and stuff) and I lived with a British couple for 2 weeks.
I always had a great time and learned so much more about the countries than the times I stayed in a hostel/hotel.
Interests
- I love dancing (modern/ballet), it's my favourite sport and it never fails to make me happy
. Unfortunately I didn't really have the chance to do it over the past year.
- politics: I'm in a group for political education and I'm part of a German class for refugees organised by us.
- we have a self-organized house for everybody in my hometown and I spend quite a lot of time there (hanging out with friends, working at the bar, cooking, ...)
- When I have some time for myself, I love a long night of Netflix or reading! Sometimes I even get creative and make stencils for spraying or I draw.
- cooking and baking: I love to cook or bake with friends and I also cook for an open kitchen sometimes (we always cook vegan, so that's what I do best, but I'm okay with eating vegetarian if there is no vegan option, I just can't eat meat/fish)
- I am a big fan of Doctor Who and I think astronomy is super interesting! And I will probably study chemistry next year. Although I'm not quite sure what I really want to do in the future.
- I used to go horse riding for quite a long time. Unfortunately I quit, but I still like horses!

Music, Movies, and Books

Doctor Who, Sherlock, Sense8, The Martian,....
Harry Potter, To Kill A Mockingbird, ...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not really sure what I could teach, maybe a little german or vegan cooking/baking.
But I would love to learn whatever you can teach me! Languages, crafts, sports (I like yoga but I could never find the time to learn it properly), ... Anything!
I like to discuss political and social stuff and exchange opinions since I am very interested in politics and society.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I said I love cooking, so I would be happy to cook for or with you! (Or bake, my cakes are quite popular!)
And of course I'd help wherever I can!
