ABOUT ME

Im traveling while I'm still young, have no kids, no mortgage, no real responsibilities! There are so many places I want to see but it's important that when i do travel, i get to know the place..not just the attractions! I think I'm pretty easy going most of the time and can make fun in any situation!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couch surfing all summer and fall through Japan, Russia and Europe. It has changed the way I travel and now that I can host people, I can continue to benefit from the wonders of couch surfing.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A few years ago in a northern town in Vietnam, I met a Hmong woman who walked an hour an a half each day to get to the market to sell her goods. After several days of chatting with her, she invited me to her village to meet her family, who had essentially never been more than a kilometer from their home in the rice patties. I arrived at night and ate the best meal of my life (possibly the pig they killed that day). When I awoke the next morning, every woman and child in the vicinity was standing in front of me starting, watching me sleep. I spent the day playing with the kids and learning to sew from the women! It was incredible that this family, that didn't even have electricity was so generous and loving towards me.
