Im a 27 year old artist/musician looking for a chance to start/begin his life.

A talent like myself, having never had his own bed, room, bathroom or space of his own my entire life, It's time just to move on from my abusive family and take back control of my life, and since being homeless for a week as of June 11th 2015 while battling cancer without insurance, I took to friends to see if they could help or offer any suggestions, one of my friends suggested this website as an option, I looked into, and thought how amazing that there are actual compassionate human beings out there willing to do something like this, it's truly inspiring.

I believe in truth, right vs. wrong, being a stand up man, showing face and showing thanks always, by doing so first I lead by example to the best of my abilities in spite of my unfortunate and awful/current situation.

I've been searching for 6 words my entire 27 years, "The Most Basic Of Human Compassions." Something I've never gotten from my own family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had been trying to move out of my abusive parents house for the last few years, due to their severe physical and mental abuse, along with a drug addict younger brother steals, breaks or sells my medications and or possessions and belongings.

And parents have also been doing a lot of the same and one is an alcoholic, along with an older brother in the house who's an alcoholic as well.

A demeaning dad, degrading, belittling, both mental and physical....
Not being able to go to the bathroom, eat, wash, work, or do anything of the most basic household things needed to function and have a normal life is what I'm trying to escape, last year in September after being starved by family for five days without a place to go and eat, I knew right then and there that I had to get out immediately.

That and the basement I was staying in at their house was strongly emitting radon, which in turn gave me leukemia, and my oldest half sister lymphoma.

IR has been my mentor in photogrammetry for the last 3 years. Ten 24 is also another talented studio I follow.

I also someday would really really love to slow travel the world, maybe one day be able to afford a good truck, and build a tiny house to hitch it up with and slowly visit every country around the world., that's definitely a dream of mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started a fundraising campaign at my college three years ago to raise money for students including myself to help them pay for their health insurance and medical premiums so they could stay in school instead of dropping out for medical reasons.

Working title of the campaign was and is still called, "Empathy Vs. Apathy."
Still a work in progress and looking to reinstate the effort.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're all forever students in life, and it's only a matter of how eager you are as an individual to learn, when I went back to college, in spite of my parents telling me I would never amount to anything in life, I had to unlearn everything my brain learned due to that sick and unhealthy environment. Since then I've started to become one of the most undiscovered yet formidable artistic talents in the gaming industry.

Staying with someone near chicago would allow me to spend time at my campus and be of service to other students, and be an uplifting individual, to show people the way, to show them thanks, It's my philosophy as a designer that one must always build failure into their designs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My heart, My talents, My Skills, the ability to show someone thanks, allowing someone to go out on a date while baby sitting, or cleaning the residence on a down day/down time, when not working at campus. I can offer the ability to have someone digitally recreated in 3D and forever immortalized in the digital world.

A cool neat trick utilizing my photogrammetry skills, anything, I'm a very talented and skilled individual, I'm just looking for a compassionate and empathetic human being to give me a chance to prove myself.
