Being a doctor and loving it!

Just like the quote, I love meeting new people, learning about other cultures and most of all, having lots of fun in the process!

I'm a very active person who can't stay still, so I really love travelling around and exploring new areas. My friends say that I am hyperactive and full of adrenaline. I am a very driven person and aim to cross out my checklist of things to do in this lifetime. Sometimes, I can come across as quite geeky but I'm not afraid to admit that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It started off with my friend who host people via this website. Out of curiosity, I decided to give it a try and really enjoyed my experiences so far :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just starting out so have only been surfing with people. Will love to try it out when I'm travelling again.

Interests

- A bibliophile at heart (other than the insane number of medical textbooks that we have to read). I'm a Harry Potter fanatic but have toned down quite a lot since I started medical school --> I used to be able to quote characters' lines word-by-word and even tell you which chapter the line is from.
- Listening to good music
- Playing the piano, currently learning how to play the guitar
- Training for my first marathon
- Going on medical outreach trips! Nothing beats the feeling of utilising your skills to try and improve the standard of healthcare in developing areas. At the same time, I am always amazed by how they can be so happy with the little things in life :) always an inspiring moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things that I have done/experienced but perhaps the best was huddling with my close group of friends and waiting to watch the sunset at Mt Bromo. The entire experience was totally worth it :)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can all learn from each other regardless of what we do and where we stay. Our experiences defined who we are and the most important thing is to grab every moment, live life and enjoy! :)
