Music, Movies, and Books

When I'm not traveling or lost in a book, you'll often find me enjoying a diverse range of entertainment and, of course, delicious food!

My musical tastes are wonderfully varied, ranging from the nostalgic teen-pop of 911, N'Sync, and 98 Degrees to the captivating sounds of J-pop artists like Exile and Utada Hikaru. I also groove to the smooth rhythms of R&B (R. Kelly, Robin Thicke, All-4-One), get energized by dance hits from Pitbull and JLo, and appreciate the pop stylings of Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera. For a disco throwback, I love September and the Bee Gees, while Carrie Underwood satisfies my country cravings, and Jason Mraz brings out my love for jazz.

My bookshelf is a mix of thought-provoking fiction and insightful non-fiction. I'm a big fan of Haruki Murakami (especially "1Q84" and "Kafka on the Shore," which I consider his best work). Guillaume Musso captures my attention with titles like "7 Years Later," "Will You Be There," "One Day, Perhaps," and "Where Would I Be Without You." Other literary favorites include Vladimir Nabokov's "Lolita," Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead," and Harper Lee's timeless "To Kill a Mockingbird." For non-fiction, I've enjoyed Thomas L. Friedman's "That Used to Be Us," Stefan Klein's "The Science of Happiness," Paul Auster's "The Invention of Solitude," Michael J. Sandel's "What Money Can't Buy," and Neil Shubin's "Your Inner Fish" (a great one for getting back to basics!).

When it comes to movies and shows, I appreciate classics like "The Notebook" and the Japanese dramas "Long Vacation" and "Tokyo Love Story."

And finally, yes, I'm a complete foodholic! My love for delicious food knows no bounds.
