Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Receiving young travellers every now and then, although I don't have much time for them my cats love the company.

Interests

Krisztinax used to be younger and quite adventurous. Used to like the beach, the sun, swimming, canyoning, rafting, hydro-speeding, trekking, yoga, sailing, reading, gardening, farm work, animals, children, simultaneous interpreting as an extreme sport and a profession.. I am much calmer now and have turned inward for the ultimate adventure. Stick to animals, reading, yoga, gardening, a bit of trekking, swimming every now and then and foremost meditation....

Music, Movies, and Books

Literature: all of Garcia Marquez, Sandor Marai, Tom Wolf, Salman Rushdie, Marguerite Yourcenar, Charlotte Bronte. The Doors of Perception by A. Huxley and The Future of Ecstasy by Alan Watts too, if you know what I mean. And many others.

Music: Santana to classical music, jazz... silence
Movie: Monster's Ball with Halle Berry, Lost in Translation, evertyhing by Cohen brothers and Woody Allen, Spike Lee, Taviani brothers, Satyajit Ray, John Cassavette etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking in the Atlas Mountains in Morrocco with Berber shepherds; learning Vipassana meditation in Bodh Gaya, India; singing for my supper in Cuzco, Peru; driving a tractor in a kibbutz in Israel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach yoga and prepare simple, delicious vegetarian dishes. I also need to be on my own.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not much, I need a lot of time on my own, especially in the morning when quiet and silence are expected since I meditate and also work at home. I would gladly host respectful, well-mannered, independent individuals.
