ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Kenneth Luna and I am 24 years old. I am originally from New York City but at the moment looking to explore more of the world outside of that twilight.

I like to say that I am ethnically ambiguous but my background is half Dominican and half Peruvian which makes for an interesting mix of guesses as to where in the world I am from...Somehow.

This is a hard question to answer in a little box. Not sure how anyone will appreciate it unless said in person. You will know the rest of "All About Me" if we meet.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to know that the day I am a little old man with white hair, I did all that I wanted to do.
This I realized when I was a corporate monkey working as a banker in NYC. No longer want to work "for the man" -- NO MORE

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently signed up for Couch Surfing because a bunch of friends infected with the travel bug have mentioned its convenience and its benefits. Traveling is fun; but meeting great people always amplifies the experience. What I just wrote sounds EXTRA-ordinarily cheesy but it is true.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Buenos Aires I had a couch surfing experience. It did not last long because I felt entirely uncomfortable at my girlfriend's place because she lived with 5 other gringas who exuded the environment of a Sorority House. I was polite and told them that I was thankful for their couch but preferred to hit the streets on my own. I do not like to cramp other peoples styles, and vice versa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just returned from Madre De Dios region of the Amazon in Peru and filmed a movie about issues indigenous communities face in the jungle when oil companies enter to explore and exploit. I was an actor. I think I found my new calling. From finance to acting - quite a jump.

Teach, Learn, Share

If anyone is having problems with their personal finances, I can help you get that in order. I have a couple interesting tricks up my sleeve as well that I will reveal in person. One thing I learned - Information is Power, and at the moment I am at a informational advantage; anything I have to teach will occur in person. Hope this isn't too calculated.
